This backyard in Antioch was old and tired. Although there was a nice retaining wall along one side of the property, the rest of the lawn area wasn't aesthetically pleasing. The grass was old and although the yard was well maintained the uniform bushes didn't add interest and diversity to the design.
We matched the flagstone to the patio and reduced the size of the lawn by adding a pathway around the lawn to frame the lawn. By replacing the bushes and adding some decorative rock and new foilage this opened up the yard.
With a smaller lawn, the homeowner will reduce their monthly water expense and has more entertaining room on their patio. The new clean lines around the flagstone paths give this yard a fresh new look.
